Industrial
This was the first core gameplay focus for CONAM. It's MINING. It's SALVAGING. Eventually, it will entail CONSTRUCTION, REFINING, and more. FARMING. MAINTENANCE. Any work that either produces a product or directly supports equipment and facilities producing that product is INDUSTRIAL. Multicrew opportunities abound, from mining on a MOLE or the org ORION to salvaging wrecks on the org RECLAIMER to building habitats and hangars with the org PIONEER.
Commercial
This focus is on TRADING and HAULING, and will later include PASSENGER & VIP TRANSPORT, DATA RUNNING, RETAIL SALES, and REPAIR & REFUEL. In Star Citizen, as in life, a COMMERCIAL focus is about selling a product, service, or experience. To support it, the org has several multicrew vessels including the C2 HERCULES, an 890 JUMP, a CATERPILLAR, a GENESIS STARLINER, the MERCURY STAR RUNNER, a BANU MERCHANTMAN, and others.
Exploration
Charting the vastness of space! It's why humankind yearns for the stars and why we play space sims. In Star Citizen, this will involve MAPPING and CLAIMING, building org OUTPOSTS, operating from vessels like the org CARRACK, and finding anomalies and jump points using SCANNING and ASTRONOMY. Whether doing long range work from the org ENDEVOUR or operating at the edge with an F7C-R HORNET TRACKER off the org KRAKEN Carrier, EXPLORATION is just in our blood. And with so much out there to find, who knows what we'll dig up?
Security
SECURITY entails more than just providing protection for org activities, though that's a vital part. It may mean providing security for other groups as a paid service. It may be bounty hunting and mission running. It might mean FPS fighting from a LEGIONNAIRE or REDEEMER, or armored warfare in a NOVA or BALLISTA. It may comprise being in the crew of the org JAVELIN destroyer or org PERSEUS gunboat. Firing torpedoes from the org POLARIS or manning the turrets of the org HAMMERHEAD. SECURITY is legal combat, which is combat as it's meant to be.
